Last night was the big fireworks show in our city. Since we live downtown and this will hopefully be our last July 4th here (knock on wood) we decided to walk into the crowd a little bit.

This picture pretty much sums up how the boys felt about being up so late and heading out into the neighborhood in the dark. Ryan was happy and raring to go, while Wesley was pretty tentative about the whole thing.
When we got to our viewing spot, Ryan really wanted to pull the wagon.
Too bad it was too heavy.
The video below is from while we were waiting for the "main event" to start. Lots of folks were setting off fireworks and every time Ryan saw one go off, he'd point excitedly.
Ryan and Daddy watching the fireworks.

Wesley watched from a warm and safe spot on Uncle Kirk's lap.

Wesley is still pretty nervous about loud noises and spent part of the show like this. In fact, he fell asleep like this. It was pretty cute.
