I did not break down into tears in front of my kids because I feel so overwhelmed lately. And there is no way they responded by cuddling up with me and bringing me all my favorite things.
I did not, for the first time in my life, have to spend Mother's Day without my mom because she was out of town.
I did not get mad at Duane for going out and buying and packaging cookies for a school bake sale even though it desperately needed to be done and I didn't have time to bake any.
