Arctic Birthday and Extended Vacation

For those of you who may not know (or pay attention), central Ohio has had a bitter blast of winter the last couple of days, with temperatures dipping into the negative 20s and 30s. Great times. Our windows have frozen over on the inside and even two pairs of socks haven't been enough to keep my feet warm.

And more of it!

I took today off work to stay home with the boys who are starting to get a little stir crazy on their 18th day in a row without school since these last two "snow" days came on the tail end of winter break.

Despite all the togetherness and the need to stay indoors, the boys have been doing pretty well. They spent part of today preparing for Aunt Susan's birthday dinner tonight. They painted pictures to give her and Wesley made a Family Cat Team Uno game to give her. Now THAT is an aunt who is loved!

We braved the cold, although the temperature did hit the low teens today, to go celebrate Aunt Susan at Grandma and Grandpa H.'s house.

It was great to spend the evening with family, but it was also great to put the boys to bed knowing they'll be back in school tomorrow. I love routine!
