Wrapped with Love

About a week ago Ryan asked me if he could please buy himself a red scarf. He got money out of his piggy bank (he actually had money, which is nothing short of a miracle) and we headed to the store.  We looked all over the blasted store, but you think they had a single red scarf? No!

Ryan is a little problem solver though, and he knew just how to go about getting the scarf he so desired. "I'll bet Aunt Cheryl could make me one! Mom, can I use your phone to text her and ask?"

So he did - and so she did!

The scarf of Ryan's dreams arrived in the mail yesterday. He was so excited that he wore it all around the house until bedtime.

And he used my phone to send another message to Cheryl

Have I mentioned that Ryan loves emoticons?
He put the scarf back on as soon as he woke up this morning, and, despite the unseasonably warm weather, he wore it to school, where he bragged to everyone that his Aunt Cheryl made it special, just for him. What a proud boy!
