We were listening to the radio on the way to soccer tonight when the song, "Single Ladies" came on. I turned the volume up and was bopping along, singing, "If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it," when Ryan spoke up from the back seat.
"Mom, this song reminds me that M. broke up with me today," he confided.
He and M. are very good friends, but sometimes have a bit of a love/hate relationship. I know that they will be back to climbing trees and trading secrets in no time, but it cracked me up that he could "relate" to a Beyonce song at 6 years old.
I guess Beyonce, like Cyndi Lauper, is a wise woman.
