Cake Crafting

Duane has spent most of today working on the cake for Ryan's "friend party" tomorrow.  Ryan decided he wanted a Skylander on it and the picture that was decided on has quite of bit of detail work on it. 

Ryan took a break from playing to check in on Duane's progress. I'm not exactly sure what was said, because I was sitting in another room, but I did hear Ryan say "Thanks for doing the best you can, Dad."

"I will always do that for you guys," was Duane's reply.

I think I actually felt my heart swell at that moment.  What a wonderful daddy he is!
